July 18-22 MUSIC FOCUS
Title:
The Parable of the Talents
Subtitle:
How did God make me special? How can I use the talents God gave me to bless Him and others?
Description:
God created each person with special gifts and abilities, and He expects us to use the talents He has given us for his glory and for the good of His kingdom. This camp teaches kids to use their musical ability to worship God and bless others. Through Bible teaching and worship, reading and math centers, structured playtime, and hands-on learning on various instruments, campers will use their gifts to glorify God and continue to build His Kingdom.
After learning the parable, campers will take turns giving and following directions through repeated rhythms, melodies, and tempos. Campers will learn basic music notation and practice reading written guidelines in music. Campers will work together to create written music and utilize various instruments to practice and perform their own compositions. This camp is ideal for children who like to share their abilities, children who enjoy listening, singing, and tapping their feet, and children who are excited to try something new and create their own piece of music!
