July 25-29 ART FOCUS
Title:
Parables of the Kingdom
Subtitle:
How can I know what God’s Kingdom is like? How can I represent the Kingdom of Heaven everywhere I go?
Description:
Jesus came to usher in the Kingdom of Heaven. We can be part of His kingdom and spread the kingdom every day. Through Bible teaching and worship, reading and math centers, structured playtime, and hands-on learning in visual, graphic, plastic, and performing arts, campers will portray various perspectives on God’s Kingdom as Jesus described it.
After learning the parable, campers will use various seeds to create a mosaic that expresses the diversity of God’s kingdom. Campers will work together to create a mural of foil fish with watercolors and texture. Campers will utilize media applications to create a storyboard describing one of the parables they have learned. Finally, campers will make beaded bracelets and necklaces to share with others what they have learned about God’s kingdom. This camp is ideal for children who like to create art, children who are looking for more hands-on ways to express their ideas, and children who want to share God’s kingdom with others!
